I can second the price of material has just about doubled in the past year or so. I get bulletins constantly about surcharges and increases on Shafting, Cutless Bearings, Zincs, Bearing Bronze and just about everything else. I used to be able to quote from a base price on materail, but know its like following the stock market, to quote you need to call and verify materail cost and how long the price will be held. Back to the tank, business has to be good for the tank builders now and they can justify and pass along the increases to the customers.
