Glass Tec Deck removal

I am Looking into replacing my gas tank. Does anyone have experience with glass tec decks ?.The deck is in three sections ..Can I remove just the Middle section without disturbing the others ,or does the whole deck need to be removed,You see back when I had alot of work done below decks,and it appears the outer sections of the deck was glassed in .There appears to be a lip on either side of the middle section with the middle section in the bottom position.Is this a standard thing with glasstec decks.?Do you think The middle can be removed with out too many problems..There a still screws on either side of the middle sections,,
