The spam sucks. Patrick is aware of that. It is his website.
One reason to have a Captain is because only ONE guy is in charge.
As my Ol' Man once said to a boat full of cabitzing sailors:
"THIS is NOT a democracy, DAMNIT! READY ABOUT!"Patrick is responsible. He makes the decisions. It is his site. We are here at his pleasure.
Suck it up. Captain Patrick is going to get us through. If you have to scroll through some spam; get over it. Every one of you has delt with worse or you wouldn't bother to own a Bertram.
Meanwhile. NOT everybody has a spare C-note to pony up at any given time. No one should berade those who are still searching between the cushions of the sofa for a buck that hasn't already been delegated to something else.
I hope that anyone who can, will send a check. If you can't right now, then maybe later. If you can't send a C-note, then send what you feel you can afford.
This is a great community of on-line fiends; not a cash business. That is what makes it wonderful. If you haven't got a little ja-jing to spare, what the heck? Come post anyway.
If you can't give now, give later. Maybe the next round will be on you! Or better yet give good information. Good information is worth at least as much as cash.
