Short answer:

Won't hurt anything.

Longer answer:

The 5% reduction in shaft angle does give somewhat more efficiency and a more level ride at higher RPMs, but I'd doubt that the WOT speed on calm water of this boat would be greater than 1 - 2 knts faster than if it had the stock setup. Fuel economy might be marginally better...

The only possible down side "might" be an increased tendancy for prop cavitation.

I'd hazard a guess that this modification may have cost between $8K - $10K. It would take a lot of hours at only a slight increase in fuel effeciency to offset the $$ spent on creating the pockets.

With the 315s, there is no increased value of the boat...
