I must admit other than a few trips to upper long Island by boat, to Mike's house a couple of times and to the trade center when it was being built I have no idea how NY is laid out or what the services are for boaters.

I know the boaters of the island have to get those tubs fixed somewhere.
Tony the mechanic at my shop came from NY island and worked at a marina called Remsenburg(?) that does quite a bit of bottom stuff.

How far from you that is I don't know.

I may be totaly ignorant, wouldn't be the first time, but there has to be some other places around other than Jersey.
