Stan,
The exhaust ports are bronze and ideally should be bolted up with bronze hardware. As Tom stated, you can use stainless steel. Since you'll be bedding the bolt with 5200 or the like, you could skip the TefGel if you don't have any on hand. Never, ever, use any brass hardware or fittings in direct contact with the water. Brass is alloyed with zinc which will dissolve away as does your sacrifical zincs.
