If you are in an 10% Ethanol State go to your local Yamaha dealer and buy some of the Yamaha 10 micron fuel filters or if you have Racors get the 10 micron filter for them. Also check the fuel filer under the engine cowling that could have water in it and be causing you to loose RPM's. Also check out www.thehulltruth.com There are alot of discussions about issues with outboards and Ethanol. Just do a search on Ethanol on the site.
