Thanks gang. Just what the Doctor ordered.Trick seems to get a pump specifically designed for livewell operation. Patrick thanks. Shurflo it is and has been good to me on their other pumps. I have a Perko small strainer on the thru hull and a Y to feed the washdown pump. I'll redo the pluming to keep it simple and easy to replace a pump. Good thing I checked it as I have a big charter next week. Dave K
