To be truthful, I don't quite understand why the mid-sized market should be so hurt as from a size, comfort, maintenance, safety and economy point of view, the size makes the most sense.

On the other hand the latest issue of Powerboat Reports reviewed six 150 Hp outboards and when I looked at the comparative charts I went into shock at what they cost. The money must be there as all were in the mid-$20,000 class. For those prices, you could install a Volvo D-3 diesel and basically run it hard for the life of your boat. I had priced one for my B-20 so I know that's accurate...and that's installed.

I'm afraid it's the double header of the rising gas prices and the unknowns of the ethanol/tank thing that's hurt the market value of our B-31 gassers. Walter
