Don - the current gas prices have depressed the mid size boat market a lot. The good news is that the B31 will not suffer in the long run. Classic boats will go up in value, just because us boat crazies want a good looking boat, and they don't make them any more. Just Clorox bottle boats are on the market now, selling to people that don't know doo doo about boats.
Now on the other hand, me & the Bride were drinking coffee on the upstairs porch swing the other morning at the camp and a Hunt 25, yellow hull, came slowly up the canal behind our camp. Bride says "that looks like a Bertram". Yep, a low slung, inboard boat, raked windshield, the Ray Hunt designed compound curved transom. Just a pleasure to view. As opposed to the Bubble Boats Bertram is building now. Hear me, Joe, Don, Kim? You guys don't forget what made Bertram a Bertram, and why we are so passionate. I know, we are a tiny voice in the world of mega bucks, but don't forget your roots.
Respectfully,
UV
