I just replaced the tank on my 20' Baron and it was a piece of cake. I am fortunate in that my shop has an overhead bridge crane, but you could do the same with a forklift or folding crane. I removed the bulkhead the tank was bonded to, used a sawzall to cut around the profile of the fuel tank, pried up the non bulkhead end then choked a nylon lifting strap around the tank and lifted. The tank was tabbed to the hull, but it lifted out with minimal grunting and groaning. I did not encounter any of CMP's prehistoric putty, so maybe it was a different installation than with the moppie. I replaced it with a 95 gallon aluminum tank for extended range. I have the original tank that has never seen ethanol if anyone wants it.
