Being in the marine buisness and talking with marine reps. boaters are considered a drop in the bucket as to the fuel consumption in America and thats why our complaints are falling on deaf ears.
This reminds me of when I was in the glass buisness in the early 70's. Sliding Glass doors became very popular and they had non-safty plate glass. We in the glass buis saw the potential safty problem but nothing was ever done, until a Senator's daughter walked through a sliding glass door and just about bleed to death. 90 days later the safty glass act for ALL doors was enacted.
I just hope nobody dies over this but the potential of it does exsist!
