In Response To: salt away systems (bruce)

I use Salt-Tex injection after a 5 minute flush per cooling system if that is what your speaking of. I have been using Salt-Away now for 10 years and my cooling systems looks clean as a bell. The system I'm using makes air bubbles for a more positive cleaning or scrubing action during the fresh water backflush. After that I inject Salt-Tex or Salt-Away for 15 seconds in each engine cooling system before I put them to bed. Cuts down the cooling system maintenance tremendously. I hope that is what your talking about. Navy uses the same system for back flushing Diesels on utility boats.

The only thing that I can not back flush is the exhaust elbows from the turbos. That's why it is so critical for good metal to be used there in my opinion with a design that permits a good gravity drain. Me no like OEM there.

Oh yes Bruce. How are you doing now from that fiasco the other day? On another note:Did you try the little Honda Gas Genset for AC start-up ability ? Dave K
