Out of town the last two weeks and didn't know. Been there with the cancer surgery. Modern medicine is amazing. Keep the faith, do what the doctors' tell you (mostly) so I don't have to come up there.
When the pain gets you, lean back and shade your eyes from the sun, take a deep breath, look over the stern - back a few feet at the baits just breaking water. Watch for the strike. Concentrate on those baits. You've got five out there so there's plenty to do. Are your RPM's right? Are you on the weed line without getting too close like UV gives me crap for? It's 82 degrees, the winds are light out of the S.E. and the Stream is calm and the colors are just spectacular. This is what it's all about. Pain gone.
I think Emerson (or was it Thoreau) was right when he said, 'When are men going to discover that fishing isn't about the fish'. Paraphrased of course. Whew! This is getting deeper than the canyon. Let me out of here.
