Don't you think you're taking this ethanol thing a bit far guys? I'm not saying you're wrong or the CG and ethanol nitwits are right, but seriously, as far as I can see from what I've read, the effects you're concerned about happen over a long period of time-and that's all theoretical since it's a new deal. IF the issues about which you're concerned really take place, I agree with you-slam them hard, but I'm not there yet.
I have problems with ethanol for other reasons, not the least of which is that, as we sit now, it takes more fossil fuel to make a gallon of useable ethanol than is economically feasible, leading to more friggin subsidies for the farming communities. THAT is what pisses me off. Attacking the ethanol issue from a standpoint that more than just the marine community (we aren't THAT important on the national stage despite what we'd like to think)) can grab onto is a better tack than this...
