Bridge Fiberglass Question

Question for Patrick,

Is it correct and OK to tab the inside of the bridge pillisters to the bridge deck? For some reason the former stewart of mine has them caulked only on the inside to the deck. Potential leak area and it has happened before. I was going to tab it and finish it before I paint the bridge deck and pillisters. Dave K
