Rawleigh,

I was getting my boat ready to go back in the water at Lewisetta Marina this past weekend. They got a gas delivery and the driver said the marina's next delivery would have 10% ethanol.

Mark, the marina owner and mechanic, and another B31 owner I talked with had heard nothing about the problems ethanol wreaks on pre-80s fiberglass gas tanks. Mark insisted that any problems were just ethanol dissolving old varnish on the tanks. I tried to tell him what I learned on this site but he wasn't buying it. We'll see what he says by next fall.
