Chiles they should be OK there. Especially 316L alloy. Perhaps you are thinking about 304,303 or 300 series SS alloys. I have never seen 316 SS alloy rust and using a Titanium magnet I carry there is no iron what so ever in the 316 alloy. There is in 304, 303 or 300 which is the real cheap stuff. I buy 316 Stainless on all my hardware when available. It's mostly China now anyway as the price has come way down. Dave K
