Just to be curious, we all know that stainless can and will rust where it does not get oxygen (air). Is it really worth the expense and trouble to go with stainless when chrome plated brass looks just as good? How much longer would the stainless last?

I know this is splitting hairs, but I would worry about coorosion around the fitting where it goes thru the hull.
