getting rid of this spam

I don't know if this will work but I thought I'd pass this along in case it does. I'm going to try it because I've been getting a number of unsolicited emails from a variety of unsavory sources. I think it's worth a try.

Thrifty Planet's Rant on SPAM

Let us begin by saying that we will not tolerate any company that uses Thrifty Planet Hosting to engage in spamming unsolicited e-mail to anyone. We will disconnect you immediately and will not issue a refund of services.

We've all received it. Here's a familiar scenario. We ourselves are victims of it.

"Lose weight now. Click here"

"Get a great mortgage. Click here"

"Free porn rape sex. Click here."

[Sound of tires screeching]

Exactly HOW did that get in my mail box? Why am I being targeted for disgusting porn SPAM???

Well, without claiming we've got the answer to ending SPAM, we have arrived at a unique solution that can help END the worst offenders of the SPAMMING world....the porn SPAM.

Through a unique blend of return contact and brute force, we have successfully erased our e-mail addresses from several porn rings that send out bulk unsolicited e-mail.

It's very simple and can be accomplished in a few steps...but you may need a blind fold first.

Normally, these junk e-mails and others offer to let you off the hook from their database by going to some page (usually without a domain name...just some IP address). Then they ask you to put in your e-mail address into the form and wah-lah you are off the list. Right? WRONG!

NEVER FILL OUT AN OPT-OUT FORM ON ANY JUNK E-MAIL. YOU WILL ONLY INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF GETTING MORE. THEY ARE STEALING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS THAT WAY.

Okay.

Have you ever noticed that porn sites have NO contact information listed. No webmaster, no customer support. Not a darn thing.

So how can you get them to stop e-mailing you that disgusting junk SPAM???

Well, it so happens, that these PORN sites aren't really free. They need to charge you for their services and subscriptions.

And how do they accept payment?

Through a financial institution.

Hmm, a reputable company that accepts credit cards on the behalf of a porn site MUST have contact e-mail And THEY DO.

This is how THRIFTY PLANET got removed:

It will help if you make an e-mail template so you can use it over an over but here is the process.

Go to that porn site link. (Block your eyes and go straight for the payment option.)

Once on the page where you enter a credit card number, look all about the page, up, down, view the source of the page [right click on any text - choose view source]. And find the name or website of the financial institution that is processing their credit cards.

Go to financial institution's web site and find the support or customer service e-mail address.

Open your e-mail software.

In the TO section. put in the financial institution's e-mail address.

Like this. support@atthecreditcardprocessoryoufoundlinkedtothespam.com

**If you don't hear anything from these people within 1 week or you still get the same porn spam from the same site. Send it EVERY DAY or send them MULTIPLE COPIES at once to get their attention. (Thrifty Planet uses the multiple copy method 1st)

Next:

Find the local spam and advertising laws for your state. Copy them into your e-mail template. This should appear in the bottom half. Most states have laws against SPAM. And many people have won cases against SPAMMERS.

Next:

Create a paragraph similar to this and personalize it to your needs.

To whom is may concern at [the financial institution]:

One of your clients [name the client's web site] is repeatedly sending my e-mail address disgusting unsolicited porn spam.

They are breaking the law, and since they provide no way of contacting them to remove [type your e-mail address here], you are now the closest responsible party for getting my e-mail address out of your client's database.

You will contact your client.
You will tell them to remove my e-mail address from their database.
I will prosecute your company and theirs using the laws listed below if my e-mail address is not removed. And:
I will win.

Thank you for your attention.

Now after they receive that 100 times, they do contact that client and your e-mail will get removed.

If you get a rebuttal reply, simply send it again. 100 times. Note: Thrifty Planet has never received any rebuttals. The porn spam has STOPPED. For now anyway.

If you get the same SPAM the next day, not to worry, it will take a couple of days for them to run away with their pathetic tails between their legs.

If you can't find the financial institution, just do your best and find a working email address on the website somehow. NEVER REPLY to these spam e-mails either. Chances are the e-mail will just bounce anyway.
