I saw this over on Tidalfish. Thought the Chesapeake Bay guys may find it of interest:
The two terminals located in Salisbury supply the lion share of gasoline on the shore except for Delaware. Delaware gas has additional additives for clean air that are not required for the rest of the shore. Currently neither terminal is using ethanol as an additive. The closer you are to either Delaware City or Baltimore the greater the chance the the gas you buy will contain ethanol. Since no gas can be shipped through the Bay Bridge Tunnel the futher down you go the gas will almost certainly be ethanol free.
Crae-thanks for the heads-up on Annapolis City not having ethanol--that's where I'll be fueling. I heard somewhere that Tilghman Island hasn't switched either. Did you go see the Volvo racers go off Sunday? Biggest zoo I've ever seen on the Bay, and that's saying something. Blue Angels/4th Fireworks times 20. CG estimated 3500 boats.
