Garmin GPS (Screen Issues?)

Has anyone had any negative experiences with the anti-glare coating wearing off Garmin GPS/FF units? I like these units very much and the price seems right but I had seen some prior info on the web about screen problems. I certainly don't believe all I read out there in cyberspace but just wanted to see if the faithful had any insight. The unit would be located on the bridge and it can be a tad wet up there at times.
