Exactly my point...ethanol must be temporary. It must not even pass the sniff test business-wise. It can't be a viable threat to even a small percentage of the total product Big Oil markets, or the oil companies would be using a little of their huge profits to get into ethanol production in a CYA move.

Hydrogen is going to become more viable when we don't have to carry it around in highly pressurised tanks like little bombs. It's all fun and games until someone gets into an accident, and then what happens?

There is one upstart company that has some interesting thinking on one way to overcome that limitaton with the unlikely name of "Power Ball" out of Utah. If this sort of stuff interests you, check it out sometime on the web.
