Thanks for the thoughts -- I am very lucky in the fact that one of my fishing crew is a professional fiberglass guy and a good one at that. I had no clue how any of this stuff worked when I got into boating -- boat a brand new Albemarle and loved it.
But, I always loved the lines of the B31 and when one of them came available with diesels, I bought her. She was so rough, but that was good, because I participated in the taking apart and putting back together and I now know what every nut, bolt, wire, cable, hose, and line is for, why it is where it is, etc.
I believe the layup schedule is that we are going to vacumbag a layer of 1808 on the bottom side, the presaturated cellcore, a layer of 1708, and a layer of finish cloth. Laminate it all together with vinylester resin, pull a vacum, come back in an hour and see the finished piece.
We are going to make it in three pieces and install just like the other kits.
I'll take and post pictures of the progress.
