Chris,

It would be a little under powered. Example the new 39 with a lot of composite materials use 460-480HP So 380 would move it OK but not much speed. Put the pencil to it and weigh the performance & resale value. I would consider a little more HP.I'm not a mechanic just a veteran boat owner mind you. Give it some serious thought. Good luck and get out on the water !
