Ken ,

Let us know how you make out with the new Airmar flush mount thru hull transducer.

I have an Airmar mounted port near the engines and don not loose bottom ever at any speed however in very rough seas 10 footers I will loose bottom for brief periods. So they must be properly installed. You do loose a lot of sensitivity with the shoot thru the glued on the inside ones so up your power. Oh yes it is watts not Kilowatts . 600 watts or 1,000 watts gents. I have a Furuno and well pleased. Ray Marine has the hottest one now though. Got some interesting information the other day. Standard (aka Yaseau)uses Furuno to make their units! So they are good unit too besides Furuno, but now RayMarine has the hottest one out there. Dave K
