I have the raymarine setup with the 1000 through the hull ducer (airmar) oilbox inside the hull. I like this just fine. The box is kind of fun to install though-its heavy enough that it wants to slide down the inside of the hull which is just great since its all lubed up with 5200. Be ready with some sort of chock if you decide to go that way.
