Fished the Hudson alot with a 600w machine. Fished the Hudson alot with a 1KW machine. I liked them both. I can't say that for the added clarity and detail the 1KW machine ever caught me more fish.
The 31 I have now has a 600w ducer thru the hull. When fall comes that will change to a 600w shoot through in an oil box. My guy (that's me) thinks its the best way to go. No holes in the boat. Remember big fairing blocks consume speed the smoother the bottom the faster you go.
