Spent about an hour with Kelley & the camerman today. She did make a point of asking several times how this will also affect the motoring public, lawn mowers & outboard motors. Channel 5's Washington affiliate had Bob Ariadyne from Boat Us drive in to there studio for an interview this morning. They were pleased with that & Kelley told me that Bob recommended that all boaters have towing insurance. We are all going to need it this summer. I also mentioned how Va. had said that for the changeover gas stations would have to change their filters daily. Her response was "No way is that going to happen"!
I commented that this long interview would be cut down to one 30 second sound bite. Kelley said they were investing to much in this story to cut it down that much. She will let me know when it is going to air. Another week or two.
Paul, when we were 1st talking, I stressed to Kelley how many Berts were in Beverly,Salem & Marblehead harbors. When you talk to her, stress that point again. That is a lot of fuel potentially floating around our harbors.
