kevin look again .3 lbs there is a decimel in front of the 3. just think of a 31 as a pick up truck in a wind tunnel test. the higest tubulance would be on the cockpit floor now imagine the venturi effect as the air accelerates under the cockpit side panels and thru the "D" into the air cleaner.why don`t you check out the link to ray cabr--- place down in miami he has the same cockpit air intakes.even if there was o pressure the main object is the toe kick in the cockpit is a advantage and the clean gunnels look great.keeping salt spray out of the engine compartment speaks for itself
