B-20 recon

Roland,I live about 10 miles from the 20' bertram that you are bidding on.I was thinking I might have some interest in the boat for parts, etc.so I called the guy and went to see it last evening.
I have no further interest {mostly because I came to my senses and don't need a third B-20 ,I'll just buy the remaining parts I need for completing my restoration}.Keep in mind this boat has been sitting in a field for 20 years.It had all hardware intact including bowlight,the rubrail was good,transom lift ring ,cheap rodholders.It also had a couple of inches of water in the bilge and in the cockpit.The deck had old indoor outdoor carpet at one time that has helped to retain the moisture.Gel was severely oxidized, spider cracks with lichen growing on it,the damaged spot on the hull was minimal an easy fix ,motor and outdrive intact, on the original trailer, with a little work could be roadworthy.It's a rough one but with a lot of work I suppose could be brought back to life.Hope this helps,good luck and if you make it to Atlanta or have questions E-mail or call me at 404-784-4315
