Your right on with the Flo-scans. Mine have paid for themselevs a few times over. Most dramatic improvement was when the throttle shaft was worn on the carb, at 2950rpm I was burning 18gph on that engine 11gph on the other. Bump the throttle and it would drop down to 11gph, no change in RPM or speed.
Sometimes the difference of only a few rpm becomes a big fuel savings and very little difference in speed.
On the other hand, those few times you fell like cranking up the speed you realize those engines can eat up fuel in some massive quantities, hell I pin the needles soon as the 4 barrel kicks in.
