It's very sad to have to repalce such a well built and designed piece of our boats. I had always taken comfort in the fact that our tanks were fiberglass and didn't have the corrosive worries of aluminum.

I think any retro-fit will probably be cost prohibitive. I also recently spoke to one of our very reputable yards hear on the chesapeake and they felt it better to replace with aluminum, it would be about 1/10 the cost of a custom fiberglass tank.

There's just now win in this one.
