This restoration project has become an incredible financial burden for me. Purchasing a $2,000 tank is not what I need right now. My labor is free so I am now leaning toward this solution. I appreciate the feedback. It makes sense to me. I can put that "top" back on as if it was there all along so why not?
I think I'll go for it. Anyone else have a thought on this?
