Carl,

I've come to trust the guy below, "Barometer Bob." His forecasts are an amalgam of NOAA information, Chris Parker, and wind forecasts. Although the majority of his stuff focuses on the Abacos he always gives passage conditions to/from Florida for the next 5-6 days and he seems to be pretty accurate.

His website is a little awkward until you get used to it, click on "current forecast" on the left and scroll down for passage conditions.
