Carl,

March/April is usually an unsettled period with a lot of wind, often from the northeast. Mid April through the end of April usually starts calming down and transitions into the early summer time paterns which will be very calm with glassy seas.

The current frontal predictions call for a high pressure ridge over the Bahamas on Tuesday, but this should be weakening as a low pressure ridge approches from the northwest.

I'd say that your chances for calm seas mid-next week will be about 75% in your favor...
