Mike,

Assuming you have Hynautic steering like most of us. The first place you want to start is Check on the Charman site and click on Hynautic Products then click on 3 Line Purging Instructions.

Sounds like you leaked fluid or got air or both. So purging seems to be the order. Hope this helps.
