I had my Bahia Mar 1972 bottom sandblasted 1.5 yrs ago and the sand man said it was in great shape. Just some pock marks that the sandblasting cleaned out.The boat was done in the fall of the yr and 'dried'out over the course of the winter.
The mechanic has twenty yrs plus experience and from the equipment he has you could see he knew what was going on. He told me just barrier coat it. So I put on three coats of Interprotect 3000.The barrier coat filled in the pock marks.
Maybe that one reason my Grandkids call me "RocketMan".
I'm sure there are other reasons too!
