Mitch,
I do mostly the same as UV but I load up a 5 gallon bucket with the 50/50 solution and then imerse the heat exchanger in it. Do not leave it in there longer than 15 minutes otherwise it may vaporize , I mean ate up alive. So 12 minutes is the rule + or -. Yes ram out the tubes before insetion so you can cook metal not dirty junk from the water.Be sure you adhere to the safety protection and not join the disabled ranks..
