New Cummins Engines

Looking to repower 76 FBC. New cummins 6's are 305 hp ALL electronic. Anyone have these engines? I'm wondering what size shafts,wheels.Would they be basically the same as the 6bta's in 250 or 270 hp? I really wanted the 270's but they don't make them anymore. Also was considering the reconditioned 6's. Lot less money but without the new technology. Not sure if the new electronic technology is a good thing or a bad thing, more things to go wrong! Any input very much appreciated. Thanks Russ
