Mikey,

First, you HAVE to have AT LEAST some signal at your location...

IF you have some signal, even just one bar, then you're a candidate for a boosted antennae. The only guy I've found that's a straight shooter in this field is Reggy at antennabooster.com. He just flat won't sell you a system unless he feels that it'll work.

While I'm in direct line, 12 miles away from the cell tower that Nextel piggy backs on, I have absolutely no signal reception at the shop. As a result, I'm having to switch to Alltel to hopefully get a signal. That 12 mile away antennae belongs to Alltel, but there's no guarantee that I will even make the trip with their equipment...

Alltel has a 20 day service return policy so if I can't even get through on their system from the shop, I can at least return & cancel without penalty.

As long as their system gets at least a weak signal then I can opt for the Yaggi antennae and booster from Reggy. Give him a call at 866-591-8313.

As for those little stick on antennas that "boost" cell reception; don't waste your money...
