Bohemian CX Stories

Well Scott Traenkle asked for them, so here they are: two stories of CX fixing things for us in the Bahamas. A place where for the most part, what you've brought is all you've got, so anything suddenly not working is distressing.
First was a handheld radio that we brought two of to communicate between those staying on the boat and those staying on land. One night I was (ahem) distracted, and unknowingly dropped it in the beer cooler, while it was still switched on. We were using the other radio to try to call and find it, and we were apparently calling the inside of our cooler all night.
Anyway, it sat there for two days in the icy water until discovered again. Of course it didn't work after disassembly and drying, but after and the CX treatment, it was completely resurrected.
Second story was my galvanic isolator, which started buzzing occasionally when we first arrived, perhaps due to a higher voltage at our particular marina, I don't know. By day three the buzzer inside was wailing away full time.
Not sure what its problem was, but opened the sucker up and saw that the connections were crusty. Well, you guessed it, CX treatment again, let it sit for an hour, hooked things back up and no problems with it since.
I'm a believer
