the local marina talked me into some product that I painted a pair of brand new three blades with last year. After only one month of running-about 30hrs the paint was completely burned off. Seemed pointless if you run your boat regularly. In fact when the boat was hauled in November there were less than a dozen barnacles on her bottom and most of those were on the back side of the struts and the backside of the trim tabs.
