Phil,

The windows were set after the boat was painted. The rabbets were re-sanded, cleaned, activated, and primed prior to bonding in the glass. The Sikaflex activator & primer were used to assure maximum bond strength.

Sikaflex 292 is a high strength structural polyurethane adhesive and, in my estimation, superior to 3M 5200. Curing time is much quicker than 5200 regular, but slightly longer than 5200 Fast.

Sika makes a wider variety of adheasives for the marine industry than does 3M and their quality exceeds any other product that I've found.

Br,

Patrick
