Glassing in the wings

With the weather breaking this week progress is becoming more steady. We finally set the fiberglass cowel and are getting ready to set Capt. Pats "frameless" window frames this week. As I look forward from the cockpit the wing/pilaster appears to be shimmed a full 1/4" inside the house.
In order to get the frameless frames to sit on a level plane (glass doesn't bend) I need to remove the wooden block and "squeeeeeze" the wing/pilaster back to flush, I will use a template of 1/2" plywood supported with angle aluminum as a stiffener/straightener to set the frames.
With the wood (spacer block) removed-and the 6 ugly truss bolt heads gone, I will need to glass the pilaster back into the boat (and make a man size wire run at the same time). I'm a little worried about where the wing/pilaster meets the gunnel, I could use a second opinion on the best way to make this once aluminum trim covered mess a structural non cracking one piece marvel.

Thanks as always
