Eddy,

You can get, or even make, 316L SS sleves that fit into the fiberglass pipes & will keep them from crushing under the clamp pressure. If you make yor own, 1/16" material is plenty & should be a snug fit.

Bruce has a source on them if you can't find them pre-made.
