Mikey- On mine they ran the lines along the starboard hull wall opposite my engine. They "T"d each line, attached a shut-off valve and left it closed. When I finally surrendered and got an autopilot they just mounted the pump on the nearby bulkhead, connected the hoses from the pump to the proper shutoffs and opened the valves, added some more fluid, bled the air out and ready to go. No mess, no cutting existing lines. Hope this helps.
