I have 4bta 250hp engines.They were installed at Holtz in 1999.The engines have 700 hrs on them and the boat has 1 3/8 in shafts.The only problem I have had was with the injectors and Cummins changed them under warranty.The boat runs at 30knots WOT and matches rpm for knots through the rpm range. That is at 2200rpm she runs 22 knots-at 2500 rpm she does 25 knots etc. The boat is very economical and Tom Oates former owner of Holtz who had a 31 with the 250 6 bta's said the 4 bta would run at about 25% less fuel.The engines dont run as smoothly at idle as the 6 bta but sound great when runnung above 700 rpm
