Next to the 31, you can't beat the 28 Bertrams, especially the older ones. I'm the happy owner (for 20+ years) of a 1972 28' Bertram dual-station flybridge cruiser, which had been repowered with 260 mercs (350 chevy smallblocks) when I purchased her. I am now considering repowering her with diesel engines, since I have no intention of parting with her. I agree that you can't beat a Bertram with diesels. By the way -- does anyone out there have any suggestions for me re: repowering (engine selection).
P.S. - 20 years ago I'd have bought a 31 with cats if I'd had the $$ at that time.....
