The two most popular 31 repower engines we make are the 4LH and 6LP. We expect the 6LP will be in the lineup for several more years, while emissions regs will indeed result in the disappearance of the 4LH the end of this year (after 15+ years of yeoman service). But, when one engine goes, another takes it place....we've worked too hard to walk away from a market that's always been one of our strongest...so look for new models in the months to come. Change is just part of the normal product life cycle. And don't get too excited about "sourcing" of engine blocks. Whether the "base engine" comes from one of our Japanese engine plants, our U.S. engine plant, our European engine plant or a partner's engine plant (eg. Scania, Toyota or BMW), what makes it work well in the boat is the engineering that goes into the marine package. And that's where we reckon we'll continue to lead. While I wish we were the only company that made a superior base engine, the truth is that many companies make fine diesels - turning them into great marine engines is a little trickier and that's where we like to think we excel. Hope this puts to rest some of the rumors. Thanks for your support.
